What are bonds?
When we buy stocks from a company we become a owner of that organisation.In other words if the company does not make profit you will also share the risk.
But there is one more instrument which is opposite to equity/stocks called as "Bonds".Bonds are nothing but they are loans given to a company or the government.So for example if a company needs money for expansion they will issue bonds and we can buy the bond from the company.And the company in return owes you interest at a given period of time.
